Default engine and transmission "rock"

The engine and transmission "rock" towards the ground when the brake is depressed. Not where to start this one. Engine mounts?

Suggestions on how to debug this one would be appreciated

When you can nose dive the engine, that's a sign of good brakes.

Actually I've never heard of such a thing like this on a Model A.

Are you driving with the hood off, or just watching the shift lever?

Yes, start with the mounts. Not much else to look at but a broken frame.
