Default Blank & White vs Colored mirrors

I like telling these new/young kids at work...bless their heart, that I still have the original black and white mirrors on my car, not those new flanged colored mirrors that started coming out in the mid to late fifties.
Over 90% believe every word,
sometimes the fun is just too easy to pass up.

I'm still not sure if this is just funny as all get out...or scary as hell.

Back in the 80's when I was babysitting my cousin's kids, we were watching an old black and white movie, and the 5 year old boy turns to me and says "you know Tom, if you were born in the old days you'd be black and white".

While teaching me to back up with mirrors, he said, "Mirrors don't LIE"!!-----When CONVEX mirrors came out, he corrected his statement!!

Black and white mirrors....that's funny. I had not heard that one.

My 9 yo grandson was in the back of my daily driver and couldn't work out what these funny handles are for. He'd never seen window winders - thought they were hilarious!

I keep telling my Grandson that in the near future kids will be born without legs and little flippers for forearms and hands because all he and friends do is sit and play video games.

My new truck has crank windows, my son said "what is this the '90's?".

It wasn't just the mirrors being black and white when the Model A was new. You can tell from the pictures taken at that time, everything was black and white. Color wasn't invented until later.
