Re: Source for epoxy-filled 6 volt coil ?
The Pertronix epoxy-filled coil arrived yesterday and is now installed, and the car runs great.
The coil I swapped out was a Ford-script reproduction - looked almost exactly like an original SP coil except the screw terminals are straight not slanted. It is an oil filled coil.....so why would it be sold without a warning to not install upside down ?? I plan to carry the original tar-filled SP coil I have as a spare - not the modern repro. |

Purdy,
I want to order one for my 29 Roadster - 6V. Just looked at the site and it didn't look like there was a diffent one for 6V vs 12V? Am I missing something or will it work on 6 or 12 volt?? Thanks, Jim |

Jim , I use the twelve volt version . I got mine from Amazon but they can be purchased from Auto Zone , Advance Auto , Pertronix or most parts houses The six volt version will probably need to be ordered .. You can google Pertronix for more information . |
