Default Restoration Qs...early 28 transmission case

I have an early 28 transmission case, it's worn, similar too this thread.
...Transmission info.... I have .041" end play with a new cluster and new
thrust washers(tws). It's the case, not the gear or tws, you can see it
in the case. I called Van Pelt's, Mac said .005"-.015" for 32 thru 48's.
Does anybody have any new information? I checked every book I have
including the Service Bulletins...no help. I'm going to make a new tw
with .006" clearance if I get no good information.

This figure was arrived from what Mac said about later transmissions and
the 600W oil.

Thank you.
