There is a mortise and tenon at the top of the door jam where it and the door header piece meet. Make sure that joint is tight and the header piece all the way down on the door jam piece and seated.

Other things that come to mind:

1. A bent or sagging frame member on the passenger side.
2. A bent subframe on that side of the body that causes the door jam wood to be too high, or the rear of the cab to sag. The subframe could be bent anywhere between the cowl and the rear of the cab.
3. Body blocks that are missing, the wrong thickness, or too many/not enough rubber shims. Loosen all of the cab bolts, you will probably need to do this anyway to adjust the doors in the openings.
4. Compare measurements from the side that is ok to the side with problems.

Here's some previous info about adjusting the doors that may help -

I didnt mention that Im restoring this truck and the doors are not on,Ive fixed the sub frame from rust, it appears to be straight. Do I remove the cab from the frame? place it on a flat surface and go from there??

Putting the cab on a flat surface won't really do you any good. Ultimately you will need to do your alignment with the cab on the frame.

I suggest that you make sure your frame is straight before you do anything else. There's plenty of info on fordbarn regarding getting the frame straight.

If your sub frame was damaged with rust and repaired it could be the problem, and you may not really be able to tell by just looking at it.

You will have to have the doors on to get a proper alignment of the cab.

Take a look at the link in my previous post for info about the doors and aligning the cab.

There are blocks between the cab and the frame...make sure they are all in place and the right dimension...I think Les Andrews' book shows the locations.

The picture shows the block under the cab corner on the driver's (LHD) side and also the next block forward.

Bratton's and other suppliers have the blocks.

You are welcome!
