Philadelphia Folks
Who are the Philly area "go to guys" in the Model A world? Does anyone know which clubs/shops are in the area?
Thanks |

Re: Philadelphia Folks
Yes Mitch, I am laying the groundwork for the next trip. I was thinking a three day weekend. Hopefully with only PLANNED repairs. Your name was given to me earlier today as one of the Philadelphia Model A gurus with whom I might want to speak/coordinate.

All, I would love to get a bunch of the area guys to meet for coffee or beers one night. It is only going to be a three day trip (with one night in central NJ) for me so I want to schedule appropriately. I will hopefully have a weekend picked soon. I would also love to hear of a few venue suggestions where I can take a "I made it to Philly" photo of the car that would scream Philadelphia. Thoughts? |

seth,
your covered planned or unplanned repairs. there are plenty of barners in the area to keep you hooked up. what kind of itinerary were you thinking about ? |

Re: Philadelphia Folks
Geno's Steaks..... Awesome call!!!!!! Rocky Steps.... I don't know if the car will make it all the way up the steps. We can try, but I may need help pushing her up or back down them.
Mitch, I was thinking about doing it in August --- I just don't yet know when. It would be great if some of the barners wanted to do a little tour to Geno's or elsewhere. If there is a club event and my car isn't in pieces, I'm thrilled to join. As with my other trip(s), I am hoping for the opportunity to work on the car with some folks in the know. I'm still amazed at all I learned in my Boston trip (Red, Rick and Harold all get my continued thanks and admiration). With this in mind, I was thinking of a Thursday/Friday/Saturday or a Friday/Saturday/Sunday. This Monday I will hopefully narrow it down to a specific weekend and start building my plans around it. I also need to dedicate a little time to friends in the area that I haven't seen in a few years. |

Re: Philadelphia Folks
I have done NOTHING to the car since parking it and unpacking it last weekend. I do intend to do a thorough check on the systems, lube her up, change some fluids, wash her, and place a parts order. Some of this might happen tonight.

Re: Philadelphia Folks
All,
Getting together sounds interesting to me also. I am not experienced with Model A's so I would be a student also. Hopefully I will be avalable on the date you select. Supergnat |

Re: Philadelphia Folks
I'd be very interested in connecting with Model A guys around the Delaware Valley area. Anyone going to Macungie this weekend? It's a great show, probably with lots of Model A's.
