Not like creating resistance or power like a coil. Did horn relays actually exists though on 36s? Pretty sure in 38 they did as the frame has holes for it. They included a fuse and lights. . Per the wiring diagrams, 1938 is the first year the cars started using a horn relay. The pickups and trucks did not use a relay until much later in time.
