Anyone know where I can find, or care to guess the curb weight of the truck in my avatar?

1936 BB 1 1/2 ton with a Woods dump body. I know a truck scale would be best but that's not an option right now.

Any help very much appreciated. Thanks!

There is an owner's manual entitled Facts You Ought to Know About Your New Ford V-8 Truck For 1936 that I have found helpful with my 36 1.5 Ton Stake Bed. I have seen them available in reprint for a reasonable price. The attachment is a photo of the list of truck weights from the manual. Your truck should be the last row, for 131.5" wheelbase hydraulic dump truck.

It looks as though it weighs a bit more than I thought it would so I'm glad I asked.
Now I'm on the hunt for one of those owner's manuals......

The fact that you have a piece of paper that tell you what the truck weighs, has little to do with the actual weight of the truck,unless it came from a scale.

Ol'Ron, I couldn't agree more. I found that out a few years ago when trying to find out the weight of a boat. Actual scale weight of the boat was way more than advertised. For the truck, there are two scales a few miles from home that I'll try to use in the spring. For now I was looking for a rough idea for something I'm working on over the winter.
