Default Junkyard find

Got a call from some friends who run a wrecking yard. "Git over here!". They led me to a rusted out microbus and opened the side door. An A engine and two transmissions. It helps to have Friends in Low Places. Thank you Garth Brooks.

Serial #2671991. Has a hex timing plug. November 1929? Pretty rough but the transmission gears look good. No freeze cracks. Should that production date have a long water outlet? I don't have another engine here just now to compare.

Depends if it went into a 1929 type vehicle (short) or a 1930 type vehicle (long). More than likely it was the short type.

This Winter I'll strip it down and see how things are in there. From the look of things I suspect it may be the first time it has been apart. My 30 Murray has a block number that matches the title so I'm going to try to use that block in the long run. If memory serves me right, except for the engine number there isn't any difference in the blocks. Any 29 specific parts I should look for and set aside for a restorer? My car will be a driver. I'm just trying to avoid anything irreversible in case the next owner wants to do a 'real' restoration.
