Default In car tool box, show us the box.

I am at the point of putting together the Tool box for my 38 Panel, I want to make an old school looking box, I dont care about what you have for tools in it, I just want to see your boxes from your cars. I plan on making one out of a combination of wood and metals, if you built your own show it off. Also, If you have a purchased box that you tricked out, be proud of that too.

Joe, I still use those everyday. Inners, outers, packers, yarners, ceiling iron, I actually wiped a 2 inch service last week and did it per code, a ford pack coupling would not work. Im not getting a lot of response to this topic, I guess a lot of guys just break down and call a wrecker for a tow. I have a couple of old tin boxes from the twenties with the leather strap handles, a couple of 50 cal ammo boxes, from the old skool plumbers, I have some of the real old stuff from the teens for seating faucets and the like. I want to go with a nice wood box with the tin corners, The interior of my truck is all rock maple, It has a rock maple slat headliner, the floors are Illinois wild cherry, has a lot of character, looks old, so I want to age the box to match.

I keep most of the tools (I bring on road trips) in an old leather soft side suite case, that way I can easily transfer it to the vehicle I'll be driving. I also keep car/truck specific parts in each vehicle.
