Default A question about original shocks.

Were the original Houdaille shocks all marked CW/CCW? If not, is there another way to determine which corner they go on the frame?

You Connect the shock arm to the shock and you know where to install them.

Ray,

The cut out on the shaft for the shock arm bolt will be to the back side on the front shocks and to the rear on the back shocks; actually the left front and the right rear are the same and right front and left rear are the same.

Thanks guys. Both answers make sense. I was looking at an original on the bench, so I had limited reference.

The Stipe shock are/were made with internals that work exactly the samy was as originals. The others sold are newly designed internals.

Yes, and the Stipes are marked CW/CCW and come with an instruction sheet.
