Paint and e-brake boot
My 31 2-door has the top down to the belt line painted black. The body color continues down from there. On the inside the windshield posts are black as is the dash rail and gas tank. Is this right or should the inside be the lower body color? Second question; how do you guys get the e-brake boot off of the handle? Mine is very tight at the top and seems to tight to be removed without it splitting. Jack

Re: Paint and e-brake boot
I'm pretty sure the dash rail and gas tank should be lower body color. The inside and outside of the windshield posts are upper body color. Originally, there was no boot on the e-brake (or shifter).

Re: Paint and e-brake boot
I use Vaseline but if the boot is old and dry it may split anyway.
