Default Brake switch question

We have a vehicle in the shop with no tail lights/brake lights. I have seen photos of the brake switch used on a T. Where/what does it attach to make it work?? 1925 Huckster/Taxi

Thanks!!

Bob, the 3158XS original style stop light switch as Lang's have in their catalog is "a must for show cars, marginal reliability".

They offer a 3158HD brake light switch designed for model T's. This switch is 60 amps that can handle 2 brake lights, 6 or 12 volt it says will work with Rocky Mountain brakes and Ruckstell shifters.

I'm keeping my original if I do restore my 26 but will be using the HD when I hopefully get it running this summer. There are several makers of very nice dual rear brake and turn signals. Let us know how you make out. Scott

Bob if you're starting from scratch check out the Fun Projects brake light kit. Comes with a weather proof switch and a great bracket that fits perfectly. Some additional hardware
included. definitely worth a look. Funprojects.com

The Fun Projects brake light switch is awesome. I have it on two T's and will be getting a third.

As they say, A pic is worth a thousand words.

Yes, that is grease cup, and the lube point for the universal joint. There should be a smaller grease cup behind it to grease the driveshaft bushing.

Popular mod is to tap them and install zerk fittings for easier, less messy greasing. Once the cap is screwed back on, no one knows that mod was done.
