Default WTB 1928/29 headlights (non-comercial)

City: Farmington Hills
State: MI

Looking for an original set of 28/29 headlights for my Tudor. Don't have to be perfect, but hopefully decent enough I can use them now and replate them some time down the road. I realize that you can have a nice new set of repops for $300. Call me crazy, but I like to keep as many origional Ford parts on the car as possible. Thanks, Chris

Your title confuses me. Do you mean you want non commercial headlights ( I thought the lights were the same except for the finish on the buckets)? I am not into the '28'29's and may be wrong but I always thought the trick was to use the commercail headlights and have them plated since the paint used on the commercial headlights usually protected the shell better than the plating original plating used on the passenger vehicles?

Howdy Chris,
I have a pair of '29 headlights for sale here at the Oshkosh meet. Call me at 406-579-9444. I can send you photos via e-mail. Perhaps someone from Michigan could take them back to you from Oshkosh. Mine are plated and very nice. They are '29s. The only thing "wrong" is that the script on each is slightly over buffed.
