Default 1940 ? Mercury barn find

Hi guys and girls, my first post…
My wife has from her family a barn that has a complete original 1940? Mercury 4 door coupe.
It is located in eastern South Dakota.
It is in rough shape but was driven in 40+ years ago and is all there.
I am not sure what is the best solution for getting this into the hands of someone who can restore or even part out.
Recovery won’t be easy as it is sunk to the frame in the soil, the body seems in very good condition although rough.
I have photos and video but couldn’t get to the engine or underneath.
I am not anxious to share details without knowing who I’m sharing with and I understand that makes it difficult but I’m sure that you understand.
Can anyone offer suggestions?

I'm sorry but unless this car is plated in solid gold and contains the corpse of Jimmy Hoffa just post the pictures and be done with it.
Its just another rusty car in a field. We see them every day.

Well, I'm interested in seeing photos or a link to a video. I hope the new member replies after this response. Maybe it's just my interpretation but this doesn't seem very welcoming.

I completely agree with this. Some of you should remember that we ALL started out at the "four door coupe" stage of old car knowledge; some just did it earlier than others. This hobby needs new blood, and every car that can be brought back is a plus. I just hope the O/P (original poster) has a thick enough skin to get through this and find this forum to be the fine resource it actually is.

I see that he has already mastered the 10 minimum posts to send PM's.

And I will say "Welcome" to him as well and just hope he has not been too negatively affected by some of the responses.

Yep - we need as many new folks as possible as most of us are getting a bit longer in the tooth and in order for our hobby and cars to have a future, we need more folks on board (including on this board!).

I'm sorry but 10 posts of what I assume are deleted posts of photos because they didn't want anyone to find their treasure stretches my patience level.
