1929 model a project
Hello, this is my first post, ive just purchased a 1929 model a 2 door sedan. The old man who i got it from died. It is all done, and completly restored, new engine and all, except for the interior. I need a book, so I can put the windows, regulators, and all that stuff in. Everything looks to be in place. can someone steer me in the right direction thanks in advance. Im in granite city il, across the river from st louis. 618-401-5977

Re: 1929 model a project
Best to join a club and get direct help from the members. Do you have the new interior kit? They should also have the instructions. I don't know of any book that can help as much as club members, but there are at least 5 good books for every Model A owner to have.
!. Owner's manual 2. Service Bulletins 3. Restoration Guidelines 4. The Model A Ford, as Henry Built it 5. Geez, what was the fifth one? Well, you have the Paint and Finish Guide, Les Andrew's Shop Manual, etc. |

Re: 1929 model a project
There are two major national Model A clubs.
MAFCA has chapters, These are the ones in Il. https://www.mafca.com/chapters/IL.html MARC has regions, http://modelarestorers.org/newsmanag...%204-20-13.pdf

Re: 1929 model a project
This is what I do on my Mac. I save the pic to my desktop in the lowest resolution setting. The go to 'advance', type my message and then scroll down to where it says 'manage attachment'. Click on it and a second window pops up. It will then let you browse you desktop, applications etc. Look for that picture(s) and click upload. After it is done (it may take awhile) I hit close this window and submit. If it says upload failed it may mean the file size is to big.
You can also use programs like photobucket where you can copy and paste the picture or URL. into the body of your message. Hope this helps. Mike

WELL! referring to post #2, a friend, Tom H, crawled around in Chuck's 5 window coupe for hours, puttin' in the headliner, took 2 men to extricate him frum the car!-----"Well, thet's the last headliner I'll put in"!! Tom H. is a master BOAT upholsterer!!----"But them BOATS don't got HEADLINERS"! (I'll refrain from typing some other choice remarks he made)---Bill W.
