Default Sign of a blown head gasket?

Took my car on a short drive the other day, about 5 miles round trip, with a 20 minute stop halfway.

It overheated, it has never overheated. It runs fine, runs as normal actually, I look under the hood and see this:

Is this a sign I blew the head gasket?

A compression test is a sure way to detect a blown head gasket if the leak involves a combustion chamber. Otherwise a coolant pressure test should be done.

How does the oil look? If it looks like a milkshake on the dipstick you have problems

Oil looked good, and I did not see any white smoke out the tail pipe.

Stick you nose down in the radiator neck. You might be able too smell the exhaust in the coolant. I would do an oil change just to make sure you have no water in the oil.

Appear your plugs might be Motorcraft TT10... I was of the understanding those are relatively colder plug (better for higher compression heads)... So I'm guessing you likely drive on longer trip often?

signs of a bad head gasket, milky looking oil, steam out the exhaust pipe, a miss firing cylinder, rust around head and block, over heating, a pure white spark plug, no carbon on it, low compression on a cylinder, some times low compression on two a joining cylinders, but what the pic shows is a water leak around a head stud, re torque head bolts, you might try putting in some bars leak or silver seal head gasket sealer, but looking at that pic it doesn't look like any thing serious at the moment

Snyders sell a ceramic sealer for blocks and heads and it works great.

Try torqueing the head, warm it up & add a jar of Standard old "BARS-LEAKS"& SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DRIVE IT 20 MINUTES, OR SO.

napa hAS THE EXHAUST GAS TEST KIT IT'S NOT VERY EXPENSIVE, YOU WILL NEED TO WARM THE ENGINE UP. PUT THE RUBBER PLUG IN THE TOP OF RADIATOR AND SEAL AROUND IT WITH DUCK SEAL (HOME DEPOT CHEAP) FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WITH THE KIT. IT DON'T LIE IT'S THE SURE FIRE WAY TO TEST ANY ENGINE FOR A BLOWN HEAD GASKET, as FAR AS A FIX IN A BOTTLE i DON'T EVER DEPEND ON THAT FOR A PERMANGANATE REPAIR. jmho
