Default How best to "renew" distributor body & cap?

Is there a good way to make a weathered distributor body and cap look reasonably new? Bright black looks so much better than worn out black.

Use Crest toothpaste (a very mild compound) with a soft towel to buff the bakelite. Once finished, if it lacks enough "black", use black shoepolish paste to rub into the bakelite and then buff it back off the surface.
