Camshaft Question
I bought a 1953 ford v/8 flathead. It had been bored .060 oversize with adjustable lifters added. My question is there any way to check whether they changed the cam without tearing it down?

Re: Camshaft Question
you can pull the intake and measure the valve lift at the lifter and compare that to factory specs. It won't tell you the duration without putting a degree wheel on and finding top dead center and following how to degree a cam information. ..Hope this helps

Re: Camshaft Question
Why do you need this information?? In order to change cams or lifters, you have to remove the valve assenblys. Measuring mig ht give you some information, Net lift of even the lates stock cans is only aroud .315"
