Mike is a stand up guy. I brought a coil off him and the postal service sent it to Italy instead of New Zealand -He bent over backwards to sort it out and even offered to refund the purchase price . I will be dealing with him again-Karl

Hi Everyone, I hope this doesn't hijack things.

I'm jumping in here because I haven't done parts business with Michael, but I remember him very favorably from the Hiawassee meet a few years ago.

If y'all need parts, why not contact Michael directly? That way the auction house doesn't get into everyone's coin purse?

I'd guess being on that vendor's marketplace is helpful to Michael, but I'm also guessing that he gets a little tired of them taking their slice of meat with gravy.

I don't know, but get the idea, that finding and passing along parts, and of course identifying them, is one of his passions.

Now if you're seeing-and-buying on that market, you can ignore me.

I agree with every positive comment that's been posted on Third Generation Automotive. Every business transaction that I've had with them has been very positive. In addition to his fine parents helping him in anyway they can, I would also like to mention his wife Jane, who's right in there by his side answering the phone, doing packaging, shipping and invoicing. A totally great family operation in my opinion.

I visited Third Gen Automotive's place of business in person. I'm also a regular customer via mail. Their prices are very fair and shipping cost are cheap. Fast, friendly, reliable service. I even went out to lunch with them! You won't find a better V8 parts source or friendlier folks, any place else. I'm a very particular person and Third Gen Automotive impresses me.

Hi Everyone. Back in 2016 I commented that I hadn't joined the ranks of happy customers worldwide. Since then I did some work on my '35 and the Driskell crew at Third Gen Automotive in McMinnville TN have been superior in their assistance! The parts are top notch, real Ford stuff many times. I needed a starter switch and got unbelievable service. There are too many bits to mention, but I have a new go-to vendor.

Nobody's mentioned it but Third Gen Automotive also does rebuild work on things like rears, trannys, carbs, dizzys, fuel pumps, and engines. These folks are really knowledgeable about our old junkers!

Look 'em up!

A few days ago on a trip to east Tennessee, I stopped by Third Generation Automotive to meet Michael Driskell in person and to see his shop. He is a remarkable young man.….extremely knowledgeable and helpful. His shop is huge and I’ve never seen so many early Ford parts. He sells, repairs and rebuilds parts, engines, transmissions, differentials, etc., and does restorations. He has a huge eBay Store online parts business and is the current President of the almost 8,000 member national Early Ford V8 Club. Not to mention he is married and a parent. He is one busy guy.

Materguru,
Not sure who you are in real life, but you were not intentionally ignored; if you were. While there are many forms of contact the BEST is to call the shop 844-327-5988 and ask to speak to me (Michael)

Also I am happy to hear a little criticism, as it leaves the door open for improvements! I can also assure you you will not get "kicked out of my Club", although I am unaware of such Club. Sorry for the communication issues if they did indeed exist..

If you want criticism, that time we rebuilt my '47 Ford rear end together at your shop, I thought we could have drank more beer.

I typically go on Ebay and search on Michaels store and list what I need . Then I call directly so I'm prepared with my list.
