I'm not saying this BUT if you know the junked frame had a clear reg/title and was NOT turned in to DMV as junked, I might be inclined to stamp those #'s onto my Brookville frame and then head to the most isolated, back in the woods DMV office to register it. Is this for your Vicky?? If so, what happened to the pa-work from that or don't I want to know?

Actually the original paper work went with the original frame and engine, years ago.

They might make you file paperwork for a builders title, not fun

I have found that a good place to start is to call the Dept. of Motor Vehicles... Find out what the rules are. And don't trust the knowledge base of the first trainee you happen upon...

In California, there's an unpublished phone number where real people answer the phone, their answers stick and the whole process- for me- was cheap, straight forward- easy. This was for an original frame, but a put together car with not a shred of paperwork, just receipts for parts...

I'm starting the process in New Jersey for an original A frame with a legible serial number and nothing else. No paperwork. Got a package from DMV with all instructions and forms. Requires lien searches, newspaper ads, pictures and a whole bunch of stuff to do...
