All the flathead era trucks I have had were stamped on the driver side frame rail between the steering box and the radiator. From my knowledge the trucks only had it stamped in one place. Apparently cars had three locations.

Ford changed over to the right (passenger) side after 48 on cars and beginning in 48 on trucks. If it's a V8 then it should start with something like C6R2 for a COE F6 w/V8 and 1952. The sequential number would follow that. It should be around the spring hanger location up front there somewhere.
