Default Lifters

How do I remove the lifters so that I can replace the cam and put in adjustable lifters? In tried to pull them up now that the valves and springs, etc. are not in the way, but they did not come out all the way. Is there something holding them in? Jack

They must come out of the bottom. You will need to use clothes pins or something similar to hold them up during the camshaft removal process if you cannot invert the engine.
