Re: How do I stop leak in fuel line?
I repaired my cast iron sediment bowls by making a washer out of gasket material, putting a little JB Weld on it and gluing it into the rough seat of the bowl. I put the gas fitting in and tightened it to keep the washer in place until the JB cured. Don't get JB on the fitting side of the washer. It worked good.

Re: How do I stop leak in fuel line?
FYI to all:
I took Ken CT's advice and acquired ferrels and fittings from Jerry Grayson. I installed them today and...NO LEAKS! If you want to ensure leak-proof fuel line fittings, I recommend you get some of Jerry's goodies. Jerry is a frequent poster on the Early Ford V8 forum. He is not a Model A guy. However, his fittings work for Flathead carburetors and for Model A carbs. Several years ago he had a bunch of fittings/ferrels manufactured to Ford factory specs. That's what he offers for sale to us hobbyists...at very reasonable prices. His contact info: [email protected]; 770-478-7241. Texas Tom |

Re: How do I stop leak in fuel line?
Certain crowfoot sockets work pretty good on fuel lines, they're nice and thick:
