Default 28 coupe rear fender brace?

My 28 sport coupe was completely apart when I got it.
I've noticed rear fender braces/supports for sale at macs.

I didn't realize there were rear fender braces. We're these original, or a good idea from the aftermarket?

These are original and they where cast iron. Stay away fro the aftermarket ones as they aren't close to fitting. Of course you try to bent them out to fit the fender and they snap. You should be able to get a pair of originals for the price of the ones from Macs.

P.S. I also have a 28 Sport Coupe.

The earlier ones are forged steel an can be bent to fit so you can line up the brace with the hole in the edge of the fender. The later ones are much harder to bend.
