52 ford sedan delivery

Hi and I am new on here. Just wondering how many 1952 sedan delivery's where made and how rare they are? Thanks for any info on them.

You mentioned two different vehicles; the Sedan Delivery is basically a station wagon car body while the Panel Delivery is a truck. Which one do you have?

I Googled '52 Ford Sedan Delivery but didn't find any production numbers. They were called Courier delivery... and also Panel according to the ad...

Does your Courier have one or two seats in it? We have a '53 F-100 Panel Delivery and it has the optional passenger seat.

It has a bench thats split in middle.

That's interesting as they originally came with one "bucket" seat for the driver.

I have a 53. Mine also has a bench seat from most likely a 2 door wagon or sedan. It is powered by the 215" six with Fenton headers and an Offy 2 pot manifold. The build nos for 53 were about 10,000. I'll poke around and see if I can find how many 52s were built.

I can't come up with specific 52 build quantities that include the Courier. In 52 production was reduced 30% to support materials required for the Korean conflict. Total 52 Ford production was around 700,000 units. In 51 Ford produced 1,100,000 units. In 53 the number was about the same. About 10,000 Couriers were produced in 53. Since the Courier was a new model in 52 I am taking a wild guess that the numbers are between 7,000 and 10,000. Does anyone have complete production data?

Couple more questions, I have door window garnish moldings that are not original to car. Are they suppose to be body color and there were no door panels, are they suppose to be thin plywood like the sides in rear of cargo area? Thanks for any info

On my 53 the window mouldings are the same color as the dash. The door panels are done in leatherette. It was done about 15 years ago so I don't know if its a "purist" restoration. Here is a shot. Hope it helps.

Thanks for posting pictures. So did your car have material on panels before you redid them? And I have metal seat sides, do you know what color they would be? dash/outside of car/inside of car/ color? The painted peice on your car, below garnish molding and top corner of door panel. Is that a original ford peice?

This one was done like it is when I bought it. I do know that the dash color is correct for 53 and the metal piece is a ford item. It is the same as a 53 sedan I owned many years ago. I'm not sure if 52 used the same color.

Thanks, I am new to these cars. Been playing with VWs most of my life and getting this ford I have no idea whats right for the car. Kinda fun playing with it and finding parts, Some stuff alot cheaper finding NOS parts than some of the vw stuff I restore. Again thanks Mr 41
