Default Fan assembly loose

Hi all, just bought a 29 model a.
The fan belt was rubbing the lower rad hose so I pulled the belt and when I had the tension off the fan pulley it is loose. The pulley and fan are tight together, but the shaft sleeve seems to be loose. Not the shaft on the water pump, the sleeve in the fan assemble is tight to the shaft.
Question, is this normal? If not how do I tighten the pulley on the sleeve?

I have trouble picturing what you are describing (a picture would be nice). I get the feeling you have an aftermarket fan assembly that is starting to come apart, not good. The best fan for the Model A is the reproduction aluminum fan. Be sure to purchase it new from one of the better suppliers (such as Bratton's). Older aluminum fans that you might pick up at a swap meet sometimes had problems. Another thing you posted in the wrong forum. This forum is intended for questions to the editors and is seldom read or responded to. Go to https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=3

Thank you for the reply, I noticed after I posted the forum was wrong. The fan assembly is all pressed metal with a machined tapered sleeve. On further investigation I can see the separation from the press ,teal and the sleeve. I will go to brattons site and buy a new fan.
