Default Headlight/Turn Signal Question

Have any fellow Fordbarners used the head light bulbs that have the built in directional signal on their 40 Ford? Wonder if they will fit the 40 headlight housing and headlight bezel? Thoughts welcome. They look like this.

Thanks

Looks interesting but they claim to be a replacement for 7 inch sealed beam head lights but in the video narrative say that the outside diameter is 6- 5/8 inches.
Might be worth a call to Speedway.

also check if they use glass or plastic lens. Plastic can turn yellow. I heard sales lady at NSRA show in York, Pa that plastic tends to yellow in the sun.

If you listened to the video you would have heard that they DO have a GLASS lens.

I had a big dilemma when it came to how I was going to retain the original style of reflector head-lights with the park bulb on my '39 Plymouth, and incorporate turn/hazard lights into the system.
I wanted to keep the frontal appearance of the car to be uncluttered with add on accessory lights.
I finally came up with the idea to have custom LED lights made that would fit into the bumper over-rides. I had slots lazer cut into the guards that would accept the LED's, yellow for the front and red for the rear.
The lights work great, hardly noticeable until they are activated.
I think I will use the same system on my '36 Ford. I will not change the steering column in the '36, I'll use an after market accessory bolt-on type of a turn signal switch.

I don't like the turn signals that close to the headlights. I would use normal headlight bulbs and driving lights or fog lights attached to the bumper for turn signals.

Some of the newer cars with exotic headlamp assemblies turn the headlight off when the turn signal is activated. I will let the EE guys figure out the hardware needed to add this functionality.

I also like the looks of blucar's solution on a great looking car.

Sure, custom locating signal lights may look great but does the location meet the requirements for locating them?

Thanks for all the nice comments on how I handled the lighting problem on my Plym.
If anyone would have told me twenty years ago that I would end up owning a Plym conv, leave lone spending 16 years restoring same, I would have told them that they were off of their rocker.
The truth of the mater is that when I found the Plym in 1996 sitting in a field in Montana, my first view was from the rear. I saw the tear drop shaped tail lights and rumble seat lid, which lead me to believe I was looking a a '39 Ford convt. When I walked around to the front of the car and discovered it was a 'Lowly Plymouth', I almost walked away. Sure have been glad that I did not walk away.
The farmer that had owned the car since 1951, told me I could have the car if I could get it out of the field..

Well I DIDN'T watch the video the first time. Now I did and didn't hear anything about plastic lens turning yellow. 19Forty asked about any thoughts so that was my thought!!!
