Default Front motor mount

I replaced the aftermarket front mount on my Coupe with the orig set up. The aftermarket mount was the early style with both coil springs made together with rubber bumpers inside the springs...im sure you guys have saw those. Anyway...i installed the orig mount set up as it should be with the little leaf spring and two coil springs. My problem now is the engine vibrates up and down on the leave spring...its not much but i can hear it and feel it through the clutch and brake pedal. I know the engine must have a little movement but it should
nt chatter. I tried tighting the castle nut...which has a thick rubber washer under it but that causes the engine to vib real bad but stops the chatter. Should there have been a thick rubber washer between the frame and mount?

There should be a spring on the underside of the cross member not
a rubber washer. Are you sure the vibration isn't clutch chatter.
The picture is from Marco's site.

There should be a leather washer above the flat spring, and a steel flat washer between the lower spring and the underside of the cross member.

Bob...i have a new clutch and pressure plate so i know thats not it. I do have the coil spring underside of the cross member along with the rubber washer and then the nut. Someone told me to use the rubber washer...maybe a bad deal ? I didnt use a leather washer above the flat spring as it didnt come with the kit.

Where did you buy the kit? I thought after all these year every vender would include the necessary parts!

I have found that if you remove the rubber inserts in the springs the mount will work like the original, and, the hand crank will fit.

Try loosening the rear mounting bolts at the engine this might help the front mount settle in,then retighten the rear mounting bolts.

I also agree in letting things find their "home" then tighten.
