T5 into a 1950 f1
I am in the process of putting a t5 in my truck, and wondering what the angle of the drive shaft should be. I took measurements of it when the 3 speed was in it. but the t5 is about about a foot longer. THANKS

Match the angle of the pinion on the rear axle. Should be somewhere between 0 and 3 degrees if you have the stock axle and original engine.

Re: T5 into a 1950 f1
The engine should be 3* down in the back to keep the carburetor level. This will probably match the pinion being 3* up which it should be.

How about some pictures of this project? Lots of F1 owners on this site.
Thanks

PeteVS,
Thanks! Bugsiegel did a super job of documenting this procedure.

Re: T5 into a 1950 f1
Subscribed. I started doing the same thing. I'll say you need to figure out how to keep the original crossmember secured, as it's a key component of the F1's frame, brake system, pedals, etc. I plan on modifying an F2 crossmember for mine. I'll also have a second crossmember to hold the trans, and a bolt-on "skidplate" to join the two together.
