28/29 Model A Roadster Pickup-Sold
City:
Knoxville
State:
TN
Price:
$7,250
Sold
1929 Model A Roadster Pickup This project came out of the loft of an old paint & body shop in Nebraska. Previous owner got most of the truck from California and had been collecting parts through the years. Has solid original cowl and great front fenders and original grill shell, hood, headlight bar, aprons, metal commercial running boards, bed and rear fenders. Includes original roadster dash rail, windshield frame and stanchions. New parts include Brookville sub rails, driver side door, cab back, quarters and cab braces along with new hinges and latches. Passenger side door is original with City of Hermosa Beach California crest painted on it back in the day. Body and sub rails were carefully put together on a very good original frame. 2”x2” tubing was used to replace wood between bed and frame. To mock up the stance the body and frame were set on a 1936 banjo rear and I-beam with 15” wheels. Rear cross member is setting on top of the axle tubes and the front axle is setting in the front cross member. Sale includes all the parts listed above. Axles, wheels and tires are the only suspension and were used for mock up but are included if buyer wants them. Upholstery is from another old rpu project and is available to buyer if interested for $250. This is a great project. Body could be used as is for a killer beater/patina look or blown apart and detailed for nice hot rod. Will consider partial trades for early Ford projects. $7,250 Call 865-755-7019

Re: 28/29 Model A Roadster Pickup
It will roll on to a trailer. I rolled it outside to take the pictures and roll it around the shop. The body and bed are bolted to the frame. The frame could be secured to the rear end and front axle for transporting on a trailer. Another option would be to take the frame off the rear end and axle and remove the fenders and haul it in the back of a pickup truck. I will be glad to help the buyer load it either way.
