Default Model A Production Numbers

Know this has been asked multiple times, but want to find the number of '28 Model A's produced and the number of Leather Backs produced for chart for show on Saturday. Get this question many times and do not know the answer.

Bob Johnson has that info on his site, maybe someone will have the link. I do not think that the body style other than fordor is listed, so it may be hard to figure that one out. Rod

Domestically (USA only) there were 713523 Model A/AA's produced...this figure includes 42612 Commercial Chassis and 63229 Truck Chassis. There were 82349 Fordors produced in 1928.

If you figure in all of the Foreign plants, Manchester, and Walkerville, there were 818734 Model A/AA's produced worldwide...this includes 61075 Commercial Chassis and 80352 Truck Chassis. There were a total of 88521 Fordor's produced worldwide in 1928.

This is from the 1928 FORD Assembly Record Types.
