I had a tiny leak in my radiator, put some in and have not had a problem since.

Have not had any problems with overheating, even in the parade.

being good friends with a radiator guy. He has told me to NEVER use any type of stop leak. It just makes things worse. He said if you ever are in an emergency situation and need to put some sort of stop leak product in your radiator. Use a egg.

anything fix in a can, cooling system, trans, tire, engine, is just a bandaid and usually makes things worse.

I used it in my 29 Leatherback but never again. It led to problems, overheating was the biggest.

This is a good question. Many engine rebuilders recommend 1/2 bottle in a their engines. I used it and didn't have any problems. I am not sure if I will continue to use it.

I wouldn't use any more than a half a bottle again. It's OK to use that amount when you put in a new head gasket but to use it to seal a problem leak in the radiator can lead to overheating problems.

I was told to use it and when it stopped leaking drain it out and put fresh water back in.Not good sitting in there might screw up the block passage.

They used ginger (yes, the spice) to seal up steam engine boilers.

Some cars come with stop-leak installed at the factory.

Hello Bruce,I personally do not believe in "liquid mechanic's" But I could understand that Nobody wants to pull a radiator for a small leak. A little bit won't hurt.
Good Luck

Whatever you do don't let anyone talk you into using waterglass (sodium silicate) That crap nearly ruined my brand new engine. Being a typical model A'er I screwed around for months treying to save a buck on old wive's tales cures. Finally got my head out of my rectal storage area and bought a new Brassworks Radiator. Problem solved and game over.

I used water glass to repair a block that had been pinned to repair a freeze break. The pins rusted out over the years and water glass saved the block. I think you must figure out what will be the most effective for the problem.

I used Barrs Leak in my pick up (when I had it.) Haven't needed it since. It seemed to work well. Had no further problems
