Snap-On Obstruction Wrench.
I see a Snap-On Model A head nut obstruction wrench on E-Bay if anyone is interested. Current bid $29. Not mine, just passing along. I already have three in various tool boxes.

Re: Snap-On Obstruction Wrench.
Perhaps a item number would be helpful.

Re: Snap-On Obstruction Wrench.
Try to help fellow Ford Barn members out and all ya get is BS.
You could always buy the junk one the vendors sell for $27.

Re: Snap-On Obstruction Wrench.
Ruth,
I was only providing an alternate source since the one on eBay was already sold. Not trying to offer any BS.

I could have had the one on e-bay a week ago for $39 because no one bid on it. But as I said I already have three. When I saw it relisted for $10 cheaper I thought I would post on here if anyone wanted one. I have no interest in that wrench. BTW, the one linked to on e-bay was the later 'B' suffix, which is 1¼" shorter the the 'A' suffix one. I prefer the shorter one. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/snaponheadwrench.htm

Re: Snap-On Obstruction Wrench.
Right on jharrellh. Good to hear I could help someone out. It looked like a nice one. The Snap-on code shows it was made in 1957!

Re: Snap-On Obstruction Wrench.
I'm "old school". If you've got a stud already torqued, do a box wrench on it and "feel" how tight it is, then duplicate the "tightness" on the obstructed one. FWIW
"Back in the day" the guy or kid in the backyard didn't have a torque wrench (probably many garages also) and thes cars ran fne for many decades. JMO Paul in CT |

Re: Snap-On Obstruction Wrench.
I have one the vendors sell. It seems to work fine, why do you think it’s junk.
