Default Re: Mitchell Syncro Tranmission.

My coupe has 3:54's in the rear end and a Mitchell Overdrive. I have been running this setup for about 8 years. Motor is strong with touring cam and 5:1 Snyder head.
To be honest there are times I forget that I am in overdrive after coming to a complete stop. Car still goes off from a dead stop without a problem on level-ish ground. Absolutely no drive-ability issues with the rear end gear/overdrive combo and the spread between stock transmission gears works just fine for me. I can cruise 55 or better no problem, sometimes have to shift into high second while climbing hills.
Just took delivery of a Mitchell Trans.,ordered it configured to stock gear set, have not yet installed.

3:54's and Mitchell (I think 26% OD) work just fine in my coupe.
