Bad news; another T has reportedly gone down...waiting on more info. Hopefully no one hurt.

Boy,
You really have red dirt in Australia! Watch out for the wallabies and kangaroos. Looks like a fun adventure. BTW, what is a bulldust hole?

And after some rain - you can only imagine the mud. Thick, cloggy, red.

Bulldust is extremely fine dust that almost behaves like a liquid. Check out the piccie of the Falcon ploughing through some bulldust. In areas of Australia's outback, it settles into and over potholes in the road, leaving it looking flat on approach, but actually hiding deep holes that can cause accidents, as it doesn't support the weight of a vehicle.

The other sort of bulldust is often found here on FordBarn!

Many Australians, including some on this forum, find getting out in either type of bulldust to be a satisfying challenge!

More Type 1 bulldust experiences with a T-Model here:

Do you suppose that 15/16 Touring would have fared better if it had the later style wishbone and perches on it? Those front ends were notorious for doing exactly what has happened in these top pictures. They all look like they are having fun though.

It may of helped having a later wishbone, hard to say. Driver lost control after hitting an evil bull-dust hole; he was caught unaware.

Photos show a number of cars running Aussie canvas water bags. They keep water cool even on the hottest of days. Perfect for a BIG TEXAN 120F summer

Wow, beautiful pics, thanks!. Looks a lot like Okie red dirt. No roos here, though.

Thanks for that M2M. That’s very familiar scenery.

Those old fords are tough, I wonder how a modern car would fare.

Loving these photos, M2M. The camper trailer with the T wheels looks interesting. Are there any more of that?

Great photos, thanks for sharing. Those roads remind me of parts of AL 10 in Macon County, Alabama. THE POTHOLES HAVE POTHOLES...

Well, they were made to be driven. If I were in Oz at the moment, I’d be there in a flash. When’s the next trip, and where?
