What a shame. Wonder if that is an omen?

I'm surprised that they would try to sell it all at one price to one buyer. I guess they don't do auctions as much over there or maybe there just happens to be an interested party in the wings. Taxation can play a part too but I don't know how it would be handled in the Netherlands. Collections like that are somewhat rare here in the US. I imagine they are even more so in Europe.

I agree. Probably will be bought at pennies on the dollar as to value then sold off. Sad.

I think of Model T collecting as a passion of the 60's, (think 'The Absent Minded Professer), model As in the 70's and now we are at a place where american muscle cars seem to dominate the auctions. At least the TV auctions. I watch Barret Jackson for one reason, to put me to sleep. Gag me with another camaro .... If this museum closure is an omen it is indeed a sad one. One good omen is all the young gearheads involved in the Race of Gentlemen. They seem to know a proper automobile when they see one.

Sad,,,too many of todays punks don't know what a real automobile is,,,and don't care if it isn't full of electronic crap to "enhance the experience".
