I just joined MARCS this year on the 1st of July for half a year. They said that I would receive 3 publications for the remainder of this year. So far, I've only received a letter and a membership card. When do they typically mail out their July/August publication?

At the risk of igniting a debate, I am confused as to why there are 2 Model A Clubs. I read the reasons for the dues increase, and most of them seem to be fixed costs. Combining the 2 clubs could significantly reduce the fixed costs. Not sure of the history around why there are 2 clubs, but it seems like everyone involved in both clubs share the same, common interest. Perhaps I am nieve ?

This is a topic that has been debated for YEARS and on this site also...Please do a search and you can read all the feeds. This post is for the national news of updating the dues..thank you...

Combing the two national clubs would be great for everybody!

But, there are people who feel politics is more important, for them!

I belong
to both national clubs and the magazines are Okay. However, if they keep
raising dues I'll probably drop out of one if not both. I also belong to the
Vintage Chevrolet Club of America, I own a '29 Chevy coach besides my two "A's". They put out a magazine every month with dues only $35 a year, I believe. They do accept cars up to 1985 I think and now even
"personalized" (i.e. modified...) cars for judging.

Probably going to drop
them too in the not to distant future.

I guess I'm just an old fart (and proud of it) mouthing off........

Fellow Model A'ers, yes we all see dues, electricity, gas water insurance and everything under the sun go up BUT "Look at what we receive" from MARC and MAFCA, information about HISTORY...We all are part of this vintage history and I for one enjoy learning more about our history...I think we are part of the greatest automobile, "The Model A", let's buckle down and continue our heritage..Support MARC, MAFCA and MAFFI..Thank you .JP

Consideration of making one club shall only be allowed after all Model A owners are in agreement on the type of oil to use and make a decision on whether white wall tires look good on any Model A.

Forget the dues increase, the ice cream maker just reduced the size of my ice cream pail from 5 quarts to 4 1/2 quarts for the same price.

What's this got to do with Model A's you ask?

Well, 5 and 4 1/2 is the same as the Model A oil capacity for initial fill and refill.
