Re: 34 fender skirts
Gar Wood Industries ceased to exist as a separate company in 1971. In their salad years in the late '20s, '30s, and '40s they produced revered wood-bodied speed boats and runabouts as well as truck bodies and buses. Founded by Garfield Wood, famous in his day as a champion speedboat racer, the company created many innovative truck body designs. The fender skirt production was short lived and likely was an idea to take advantage of the company's stamping capabilities.
