Default lt steering arm/drag link question

1928
i have the first style steering arms on my car. (ford did a change up)

did the drag link stay the same or was it shorter to compensate for this change?

basically , were there 2 different length of drag links used on the model A?

thanks

They changed the arm that connects to the tie rod, the part than connects
to the drag link stayed the same.

i was wondering because the spindle hits the steering stop on the axle properly on the rt. but comes up short on the left. in other words turns tighter to the rt.
im looking for the reason and the first thing i noticed was the steering arm is the old style.

thanks

the steering geometry talked about is called "toe out on turns" which is necessary for proper turning and to prevent tire wear, i know about these angles, that is why i was confused about the tighter turning in one direction.

with the toe-in set correctly it would seam that there is no way to change that difference on the model A unless the distance from the left steering arm to the pitman arm is modified. maybe that is why ford changed the steering arm design, don't know.

i think with the old style steering arm on there the difference is more prominent.
