Here in California we have no choice, so all Model A’s here have to run on ethanol. I also add MMO routinely. By the way, I am no fan of ethanol, but honestly I have had zero problems using it for 15 years now, other than I have heard you get a bit less mileage and performance.

I've been using straight gas and MMO, May blend in some E-15, see how it works out.

looks like its about even, 50/50 on Ethanol Vs Gasoline

If you're driving regularly use whatever mix you want. In the fall as you drive less and then park it for winter, I ONLY use non-ethanol. If you ever wonder what it looks like over time, put some in a vented glass jar. It ends up with some nasty crud in the bottom after sitting a month.

My buddy has an ATV/motorcycle shop. Does sales, repairs/service.
He told me when he opened he'd get in a few carbs every year that needed cleaning due to sitting up. Then E gas showed up at the pump and the number of repairs on carbs went thru the ROOF. He did nearly 500 in one year.
Most of his clients are friends and family, he'd much more like to work on things other than the carb. He told me he started telling folks to run straight gas in their ATV's etc, and the # of repairs has fallen dramatically, so he can do other pursuits.

He said he only bought the shop cause he raced moto-x and wanted to be able to work on his stuff when he wanted..he makes his $$ in other places.

So it seems if you drive it regular than whatever is fine. If you do the once a month drive you should run Real Gas.

Its interesting to see the poll results.
Thanks for the replies.

Ethanol is a solvent. Ethanol dissolves the varnish that builds up in that e fuel systemms over the years. That varnish residue ends up in you carburetor. That’s why they can’t add ethanol at the refinery. It would dissolve all the junk in the pipe line. We have Valero refinery here. There are hundreds of tank cars in their yard with ethanol in them. They add the ethanol simultaneously with pumping gas into the tankers.
Once that is cleaned out you shouldn’t have problems except for storage and water absorption in damp climates. Automobiles today have sealed fuel system so that is not a problem. Model A’s breathe in air to replace the fuel you burned and that brings water vapor in to be absorbed by the ethanol. When the ethanol gets saturated corrosion starts.
Ethanol adulterated gas about 10% less BTU’s per gallon compared to gasoline.
