The bottom cushion is retained at the front by the formed wire tabs near the front of the bottom cushion resting against the back lip of the rumble seat riser on the floor. It is retained at the back of the cushion by being wedged beneath the bottom of the rumble back cushion attached to the rumble lid.

The back cushion has tabs at the top that insert into slots in the rumble lid inner panel. It is attached at the bottom with screws through tabs on the bottom of the cushion spring to a pair of clinch nuts in the rumble lid inner panel.
