Default Voltage

I have a question:

What should be the voltage on the coils when the key is on? I think I have a bad ignition switch.

Thanks in advance.

When the switch is turned to battery, 6 or 12 depending on what your battery is. But remember the coils only buzz when the timer roller is making contact with a segment in the timer.
