50 & 51 Heater Control Valves
Does anyone know if a 1951 heater valve will fit/work in a 1950 car??

Re: 50 & 51 Heater Control Valves
Shoebox-Central lists a different one for each year. The prefix in the part # is different. They look the same so if I had one and not the other, I’d try to make it work. When mine started leaking on my ‘50 I put a manual valve on the head. You can adapt one that goes in the heater hose from a ‘70’s pickup......Mark

I can't think of anything that would be different, maybe the arm the cable connects to? Maybe someone with a 51 will respond.

I have seen them advertised as 50-51 but there are clearly different although both are cable driven..
