Default 39 door adjustment

My 39 Tudor's left door needs to come out about 1/8" to fit correctly. When I installed new upper door seal door would not close, it was very tight. Right door is fine. It needs to come out on the top only as it is good from the belt line down. Is there any adjustment in the door hinge if I can move the screws? Any ideas on how to bring the top out a bit? Thanks, Mark

If after installing a new seal, it seems overly tight then just close the door and let it sit for a period of time while also using it, to let it seat itself.

after the new seal i had to close door hard to get it to latch resulting in having to pry latch open from inside to open door. Had to remove seal to get door to work again. top has to come out as a piece of paper is tight in top of door when closed.

Old school, but you could cover top part of door opening with a towel, same with top of door, place a small piece of wood between and apply some pressure (light) to top of door to increase the distance. FWIW

I'm with Paul in Ct. Its the easiest and maybe the only way to correct it. Just slow and easy. A friend had a photo from the Ford assembly plant where they had 2x4 s under a trunk lid of a 40 Ford Sedan prying it to get it to fit! LOL Steve

I tried a stick in the door and it seemed to help. I also was able to move the door striker out a small amount. Installed new seal and door closes fine and lines up on the top. Thanks for the advice .
