Original washers of any style...
Original nuts and bolts are one thing...but what about original style washers? Most which are completly flat or broken when removed.
The Parts Price List's list all sorts of size's and finishes. Where do you blue ribbon guys go to get those special washers used on your vehicles? Thanks. Pluck |

Pluck,
I don't know about washers, but I have purchased original nuts and bolts from Bert's. I would give Steve a try to see if they save them. My gut feel is they probably do. Also, Will Cronkrite has a lot of original hardware. You might give him a try also. Rusty |

I just collect original fasteners at swap meets or wherever I can.

Re: Original washers of any style...
I bought just last week a set of N.O.S. top prop knobs for Deluxe Roadster and a set of N.O.S. strap hooks for roadster [nickel plated looks perfect] .I offered them to a person who asked if i had them for MARC meet in Wisc. for fine point judging. Now that i came across them in a pile of parts i bought he does not want them since he received his Henry Ford Award the other day by the mailman. I believe what Marco taught me never stop looking for parts you could not fine before the award and then found later[buy them] because one judged missed the repro. the first time another judge at another meet might or will pick it up. Shame on the judge the first time ,,shame on you the second time.

Re: Original washers of any style...
Did you find that the passenger side Top Prop Knob is left-hand thread?

Re: Original washers of any style...
I had a leak on my steering box that I couldn't stop. When I rebuilt the box at my friends garage I noticed that the washer on the stud that extends into the reservoir was very different from the standard flat washer that I had on mine. He let me use that original washer and voila!... no more leak. It's important to hold on to these fasteners.
