Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
This voltage regulator is said to be an OE for Ford 6 volt Positive ground "B" circuit operation. Approximately 1941 vintage. I've never seen one stamped like this, although the color coding appears to be correct for the wiring harness. I would like to verify if in fact FORD OR aftermarket. Thank you for the help.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
It'll fit and function on all Fords, '39 - '48. However, it is NOT concourse correct for any of them.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
It looks to be an aftermarket replacement part.

I've had a number of these regulators and am 99% certain they were service parts.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
You don't see many with anything other that the pole abbreviations on them with a black painted cover. They may or may not have the Ford name on it.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
Here's an NOS one. This is correct for '40 - 48.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
It looks like it's riveted too. I remember reading instructions for adjustment that stated to drill the rivets out of the cap. It looks to be zinc or cadmium plated.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
Thank you folks for the input. Especially the pictures of the NOS units. My parts book lists the PN as 01A-10505-C. And the Generator PN is 1NC-10000. This is for the 4 cylinder application. Looking thru the "Orange" early FORD parts book and the "Green" later parts book it seems the application numbers have revisions and changes over the years. Is a PN printed on your '40-48 package? I guess FORD used what was available at the time of production?

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
Keep in mind that the references you are looking at were for the dealers telling them what would work as a replacement part, they are not the ID of original factory parts.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
That regulator is correct for a 41 ford. I have a concourse car. Never had points deducted.

Re: Voltage Regulator Help to ID?
Unfortunately, you are incorrect. Even sadder, the judges were incorrect.
