Default Engine Angle

Building an engine run stand, suggestions for proper angle of the engine to return the oil to the pan and oil pump. What I did. Top of carb set as close to zero front to rear and side to side.

I'd say that your intake manifold angle will determine the best angle for your stand, because ideally your carburetor should be level to the earth.

Torque tube cars didn't angle the engines, open drive cars did. I don't think the oil pan or pump really cares whether an engine angle differs by a few degrees.

MIKE51MERC, thanks for the reply. Just did not want to starve the old engine of oil.
