Christmas parade ideas?

Going to be in the Apex & Holly Springs, NC Christmas parades with others from the Tarwheel A's club. Anyone have any pics of nicely decorated cars from years past? How about hooking up a couple strings of Christmas lights - any tricks & tips for doing that?

If you're on 12V you can buy an inverter and run regular 110vac Christmas lights.
If not, you can rig up the same deal on its own 12v battery, separate from the car system, you'll just have to charge it every time with a charger.
They make small strings of lights that run on AA batteries that you can twist through the spokes of your wheels.
Big Lots, flea markets etc are good sources of cheap lights.

Build a batt box, install a charged up 12v batt and an inverter, add some outlets and then use all the led lights you want.

you can buy battery lites . we have several strings of them . our Christmas parade is at nite (the parade of lites) . the lights use a battery pack , self contained .......

Guess I'm old school. I have an 850 watt Honda generator on the rear luggage rack. After the parade I usually put take the lights off the "A" and put them on the house.

I use a 12v jump pack that has a inverter built in and works fine for running my LED Christmas lights. I mount my Christmas lights to the edge of the fenders and running boards to outline the car. I use those spring loaded paperclips with a piece of felt wrapped around the area where the clip goes and I space the clips about every foot or as needed.

Hey thanks for the feedback, guys. My head was stuck on how to get my 6V system compatible with 110V lights via an inverter & other such work-arounds. Separating the power source in the first place seems like the way to go. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone & I'll post a few pics of the finished product

TARGET has AA powered eight foot strings for about $8 apiece and the batteries will light the LED's for days. It takes four to do my car from quail to windshield, and windshield to taillite for parades.

They hook up really easy from quail to mirror or header, then to taillite mount.
This parade is Thanksgiving weekend Tree lighting, usually top down in freezing temps with the wind blowing off the ocean during the parade and set-up.
The Piper passed by and wanted a photo.
This is the second time I am trying to post this since the first time it wasn't on the Board unless I did something wrong.
