51 MERC...I don't see how using that pedal/MC/booster in your link would allow the use of the clutch pedal in the OP's F1 truck, when looking at the original pedal bracket below. I would find or build an adapter to mount a booster/MC combo behind the original pedal set. See original pedal set below. DD |

The second setup from performanceonline works with your original pedals only needs a few holes drilled into the frame for a stabilizer bracket.

Re: Power disc brakes 1950 ford f1
15 years ago or so I did the POL type kit on a '50 F1 for somebody else. Pretty sure it had original pedal and just replaced the original master. Some drilling required for the bracketry. Lines have to be adjusted. Can't remember if a clutch would be a problem as this one had a 302/AOD automatic. I do remember that it moves the reservoir back to where it is hard to see/fill.

You could also consider using a remote power booster. Midland Hy-Power units were used in some late 50's and 60's Fords but are hard to find now. PBR boosters are available either VH44 or VH40, 7" and 9" vacuum unit diameters I believe.

The LMC catalog lists a whole kit (brakes, hoses, rotors, booster and master) that has an adapter bracket as an option for your stock clutch pedal. Don't know much about it other than seeing it in the catalog.

Also watch ,which kit you buy ,most kits require the you drill and re locate grease fittings on spindles ,I found Wilwood does not require this .Im going with A kit from Wilwood ,and a master cyl kit from performance , for my 53 f-100,
